Spotlight Search & Private Tags

Hi! Happy to introduce two new enhancements to Strflow.

Spotlight Search

All of your notes are now searchable from the system Spotlight search on Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Everything below can be found through Spotlight:

  • notes

  • tags

  • link previews

  • attachments (by file name; no OCR yet)

Note: it may take a little while for Spotlight to finish indexing your notes.

This also lays some groundwork for the upcoming Apple Intelligence enhancements.

Private Tags (Strflow Plus)

Strflow Plus users can now mark a tag as private. If you keep confidential notes in Strflow, this adds another layer of privacy.

  • Private tags are locked behind your device's lock mechanism (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode).

  • Notes with a private tag don't appear in All Notes or any other timeline.

  • Private notes never show up in search results until you unlock them, including in Spotlight.

I enjoy it most when a feature fits naturally into the system around it, and both of these do. Hope you like the update!
